New Logo for the Carolinum Press

On the 16th of September the Rector's Collegium approved a new logo for the Carolinum Press. Commenting on the winning design, which will be used on all the Press's new publications, CU Pro-Rector Prof. MUDr. Pavel Klener, DrSc. said that "the old logo with the gothic oriel could not be reproduced on all our publications. There was therefore a need to create a clear new symbol for the university press. We had a choice of three designs, and the winning design (reproduced here - ed.), is based on a historically stylized "K". The full outline of the symbol allows variation in colour. The new logo will look good even in miniature form, for example on the spine of a book."
